NAHB 50+ Housing Award
An increasingly popular mini neighborhood concept is that of cottage courts or pocket neighborhoods. This grouping of smaller, high-quality homes built around a common green area are cost-effective for the developer and owner alike. Within our master planned community of Saluda River Club, Allison Ramsey planned several cottage court sites to be developed to provide a new mix of housing options within the standard single family lots. This particular cottage court was developed with 6 homes targeted for 50+ retiree’s and/or singles that would enjoy living in Saluda River Club but didn’t need the space that a typical single family lot would provide. It received a NAHB 50+ Housing Award.
